Jacques, the other World Champion currently in F1, has had a tough time with the BAR team in the past few seasons. Despite his poor machinery, he posted the best starts of any F1 driver last season, and managed to bring BAR from laughing stock to contender, as they tied Benetton for 4th in the Championship. This feat was accomplished almost solely to Jacques' doing, highlighting his ability to make due with poor cars. His past F1 experience was with Williams, where he burst onto the F1 scene with a great talent by leading the majority of his first GP, and then securing the title in the next season. Off the track Jacques is one of the most vocal drivers, and subsequently has ruffled some feathers of other drivers and F1 personnel.
